If you've ever found yourself craving a game that's simple to pick up but surprisingly hard to put down, you might want to give Run 3 a try. It's one of those games that looks minimal at first glance but ends up testing your reflexes and spatial thinking in ways you don't expect.
What the Game Is About
The premise is straightforward: you control a little alien character running through a series of floating tunnels in space. The tunnels aren't solid corridors, though — they're made of broken tiles, gaps, and holes, and your job is to keep running without falling off the edge into the void. The further you go, the more the tunnels twist, tilt, and disappear beneath you, forcing you to think on your feet.
What makes it interesting is that it's not just about running forward. You can also jump between tunnel walls, essentially reorienting your sense of "up" and "down" as gravity shifts around you. It sounds disorienting when you first read about it, but once you're actually playing, it becomes an intuitive part of the experience.
How to Play
Movement is simple — you use the arrow keys (or WASD) to move left, right, and jump. The real skill comes from timing. Since the tunnels have gaps of varying sizes, you need to judge when to jump, when to switch lanes, and when to leap onto a side wall to avoid an upcoming hole. As you progress through different levels, the layouts get more creative, sometimes spiraling or rotating in ways that keep you on your toes.
There are also multiple characters to unlock, each with slightly different abilities, which adds a bit of variety once you've gotten comfortable with the basic mechanics.
A Few Tips for Beginners
What I appreciate about this kind of game is that it doesn't demand much setup or explanation — you can just jump in, get a feel for the mechanics, and start improving naturally through play. If you're looking for a quick mental workout or just something to unwind with during a coffee break, it's worth spending a few minutes with Run 3 and seeing how far you can get through the tunnels.

A Few Tips for Beginners
- Don't rush at first. It's tempting to hold down the forward key and just react, but especially in early levels, taking a breath to observe the tunnel pattern ahead helps you avoid unnecessary falls.
- Get comfortable with wall-jumping early. Once you understand how your character can run along side walls, entire new paths open up that make tricky sections much easier.
- Learn from failure. Since levels are often short, it's easy to retry after a fall and notice exactly where you went wrong. Treat each attempt as a mini practice run rather than a setback.
- Take breaks. The tunnels can get genuinely tricky later on, and a fresh pair of eyes after a short break often helps more than repeated frustrated attempts.
