Book quick Mercedes service in Industrial Area 10 – any recommended garage for a full battery reset?
Morning everyone. My E-Class has been sitting for a few weeks and now the battery is completely dead, won't even crank. I'm in Sharjah and looking for a workshop in Industrial Area 10 that can get this sorted quickly without cutting corners. I know with modern Mercedes, you can't just drop a battery in and call it a day. These cars have an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS) that tracks the battery's age and state of health, and after a replacement, the system needs to be "registered" or "coded" so the charging profile resets and the start-stop works properly. If that step gets skipped, the car keeps charging the new battery like the old one and you're back buying another one in 12-18 months.
I'm hoping to find a garage that actually has the right diagnostic tools, like XENTRY or STAR, and knows the proper reset procedure. A friend mentioned that a proper shop will test the alternator, check for parasitic drains, and do the full system validation, not just swap the part. Has anyone here actually used a workshop in Industrial 10 for their Mercedes battery that they'd trust?
